About these end of the year printables handouts

The last weeks of school ask for pages that mark progress without adding work. This set uses a five-point star and a graduation cap, drawn in outline, with plain frames that suit certificates for every student in a class.

Use the certificate for reading goals, attendance and kindness, and print one for every child so nobody is left out. The calendar works as a countdown for May or June, with space for field day, awards and the last day. The bookmark phrases look ahead to summer reading, and the reading log makes a good summer sign-up to send home.

The set has six files with one design: a reading log, a certificate, a blank calendar page, a page of ten bookmarks, a border page with writing lines, and a reward chart with 30 spots. Type your own names and dates into the fill-in boxes before you print. The reading logs, certificates, bookmark sheets and reward charts carry no logo or web address, because they go home with students; the calendar and border page keep a small footer.

How to use them

  1. Pick the file you need from the version picker: reading log, certificate, calendar, bookmarks, border page or reward chart.
  2. Open the fill-in boxes and type the title, names, teacher and dates. What you type is what prints.
  3. Choose a class style. The bright styles are cheerful on screen, and black and white saves ink.
  4. Print on letter paper. Use cardstock for the bookmarks and reward chart so they last.
  5. Cut the bookmarks apart along the dashed lines, and punch the small circle if you want to add yarn.

Classroom tips

  • Print one certificate per student and write a different strength on each, so every child goes home with something specific.
  • Hand out the reading log in the last week and ask families to bring it back in the fall for a small prize.
  • Use the border page for a letter to next year's class, and keep the best ones to share in August.

Notes on this page

  • Calendar pages have no printed dates: type the month and year, then write the dates in by hand.

Frequently asked questions

Are the certificates only for graduation?

No. The cap is decoration only, and the certificate title box takes any award wording you like, from perfect attendance to most improved reader.

Can I use the calendar for a countdown?

Yes. Type the month and year, then number the days you want to count down in the boxes. It works well for the last four weeks of school.

Do the student pages carry the site logo?

No. The reading log, certificate, bookmarks and reward chart print with no logo or web address, so they are clean for a student to keep. The calendar and border page keep a small footer.
